Survivable Garden - Book

Mizz Tizzy's Weeds and Seeds is a teaching seed and gardening, horticulture company. It was designed so that we can help you make your gardens healthy, productive, a little more insect-proof, and much more disease resistant, and it is all done by the plants that are included in your gardens. It is a form of Permaculture (Permanent Agriculture), also called "Forest Gardening," and it also includes your flower beds, as well as your veggie gardens which all become one and the same.

Our seed packages measure 8.5 X 5.5", they fold over as you can see above, with the plant information, folklore, and medicinal attributes listed inside. And on the back is more detail on each of the plant's needs. INSIDE is a zip-lock about 4" X 8" clear resealable plastic packet that holds your seeds, stakes, and seed envelopes. You can write whatever you wish on the back of that packet - in case you want to use it for something else or to collect seeds for use next year.

BOOK :

This was smaller but I have changed it to a full-sized 8.5 x 11", three-ring BINDER which is made of tough plastic, with edges being made of heavy flexible rubber, and the spine of the binder is held in place by that same tough rubber, which will include your name on the spine. This will help make it better for use in your garden settings too as it is tough and very handy. It also has plenty of pockets to use.

Also included, are sheets of graph paper, and fun chicken wire notepaper, so you can keep notes, or make lists or draw up plans for new beds or designs. A Mizz Tizzy's Survivable Gardens Book, 5 plastic sheet protectors, a plastic resealable pocket folder, plant stakes, and other goodies.

Included is also a booklet about gardening that I have written and illustrated to help you with the basics of gardening and troubleshooting in the garden, and recipes for homemade herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides. Also, a booklet The History of Smudging, and much more

The book has charts and a great deal of information for your use to be able to be as successful as you can in growing your own veggies, herbs, and flowers. The illustrations are mine as well and are made to help make things as easy as possible. I grew up using what is called the "Forest Gardening" technique, which some now call Permaculture loosely. This is written knowing you do not have a lot of time to dig through a lot of prose so I have tried to keep it simple.
