Product Details

This is a good tonic for cows in controlled amounts. The herb is used to make Moxa, burned over acupuncture points to quicken the blood. It is in flower from July to September. The flowers are hermaphrodite (have both male and female organs) and are pollinated by Wind. They have been used as a flavoring in beer, which fell into virtual disuse once hops came into favor. It is one of the nine herbs invoked in the pagan Anglo-Saxon Nine Herbs Charm, recorded in the 10th century in the “Lacnunga” (Anglo-Saxon medical texts and prayers, written mainly in Old English and Latin).
